Baltkran to deliver 50t gantry crane for Astrakhan | |||||

Baltkran received an order for delivery of one gantry crane to Lower Volga and to Astrakhan region. All-electric double girder gantry crane is designed for lowering/lifting of the ships and motor boats to/from water during off-season periods for winter anchorage, technical inspection and maintenance. The gantry crane has capacity 50t, span more than 50m, lifting height 14m, and waterside cantilever outreach 10m. The crane has a control system with frequency inverters that allows optimizing power consumption and significantly reduces load sway. The state-of-the-art heavy duty crane has a high level of operation reliability. The crane will be delivered by railway and put into operation in 2010. Qualified personnel of Baltkran will make the erection and commissioning. Baltkran delivered two RMGs to Volzhskiy city and to Sarepta station of Privolzhsk Railways. Both cranes will handle 20,40,45 ft containers at intermodal container terminals.
